My husband eats meat. I don't. No big deal, it's just food. He doesn't walk around talking about the "tasty animals" he is going to consume and I don't go around telling him he is going to hell for eating them. I used to eat meat, and now I don't. I just don't like the texture and taste of dead decaying flesh. The idea that my choice in eating lessens the useless space and cruelty that it takes to raise and kill helpless animals is just another nice benefit to a more healthy eating style. When I did eat meat I didn't walk around looking for fellow flesh eaters to chat about ever so interesting animal husbandry. Give me a break, is your life really that boring? Or are you just annoyed that there are some people who might act as if they are kinder then meat eaters and you need to stand up for your meat eating rights? Hopefully no one is that hung up on food buddy. I think you need to find a hobby! Usually people don't even give it a second thought, they just order the burger and eat. They were born in a meat eating family and that is that. Contributing to the death of animals is by far NOT the worse thing a person could do, but you have to admit it's a little barbaric. After all who gives us the right to shoot, mame, abuse, torture, and oppress another living being. But it doesn't surprise me a whole lot considering we do it to each other. But just remember we are NOT at the top of the food chain, and if you ever come face to face with a mountain lion let's hope for your sake he is not hungry. Respectfully, MW
